The Perfect Treble with Sky Sports and Mr. Porky

Mr. Porky, the UK’s number one pork scratching brand, is synonymous with hearty snacking and good times. With a proud heritage and a loyal fan base, Mr. Porky is a staple for those who love salty porky goodness, a truly authentic British snacks. So, when the brand became the official sponsor of darts on Sky Sports, it was a bullseye of a partnership. (Like what we did there?)
The brief was simple but ambitious: create a bold, 20-second ad that showcased why Mr. Porky and darts are the perfect pairing, while highlighting that the snacks can be enjoyed at home or in the pub. There was just one catch… we only had 2 weeks to deliver from brief. YIKES!

The Challenge
This campaign had to do a lot in a short space of time. With the ad due to air in a matter of weeks, everything from creative concept to production needed to come together at lightning speed. It had to be visually striking, resonate with Mr. Porky’s core audience, and land the message that this snack is perfect for every occasion. No pressure, right?
The Execution
With the clock ticking, we rallied an all-star team of experts, including director, videography crew, set designers, and more, to turn the vision into reality. And, spoiler alert: we delivered.
Creative Direction and Concept
The campaign centred around the theme: “From down the local to on the sofa, there’s no matching a scratching.” We wanted to show just how perfectly Mr. Porky fits into both the lively pub atmosphere and the comfort of home.
To bring this to life, we built a custom camera rig that allowed us to swing between two distinct settings: a bustling pub and a cosy living room. This dynamic transition visually captured the versatility of Mr. Porky’s snacks, showing their appeal in two quintessentially British moments, cheering at the darts with friends and relaxing at home.

Production
When we say custom-built, we mean it. Every element of the ad was created specifically for Mr. Porky:

- The Pub Set: Designed to balance modern touches with a traditional feel, complete with a dartboard as the centrepiece, a nod to the Sky Sports partnership.
- The Home Set: Warm and inviting, it captured the essence of winding down at home with your favourite snack.
The shoot was a one-day whirlwind of energy and precision. With a tight schedule, every shot had to hit the mark. Our team stuck to the timeline while making sure no corners were cut, each frame was crafted with care to ensure the final ad looked top-notch.
Post-Production
The editing process focused on making the transitions between settings feel seamless and natural. By keeping things simple and clean, the ad’s core message and dynamic visuals took centre stage. No unnecessary effects, just clear, impactful storytelling.
